About the role#
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Internship is a summer-long assignment based at our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania site. You will work directly with the site EHS Manager to support daily operations and specific safety projects. This role is designed to provide exposure to industrial safety practices and professional development through our GSC Program Team.
What you'll do#
- Implement site-specific safety programs.
- Conduct employee training sessions.
- Coordinate occupational health and safety projects.
- Analyze accident and incident records to identify trends.
- Promote safe work practices across the organization.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and site events.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Safety Manager.
- Participate in workshops, networking opportunities, and information sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university, specifically as a rising or current junior or senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting, such as extracurricular activities, military service, or past employment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work in the United States without needing sponsorship.
- Previous Sherwin-Williams internship or co-op experience is a plus.
