About the role#
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Internship is a summer-long assignment based in Moline, Illinois. You will work directly with the site EHS Manager to support daily operations and specific safety initiatives. This role is designed for students to gain practical experience within a manufacturing and distribution environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist the EHS Manager with day-to-day tasks and special projects.
- Implement site-specific safety programs and coordinate occupational health projects.
- Conduct employee training and promote safe work practices across the organization.
- Analyze accident and incident records to identify trends.
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives and site events.
- Engage in early career development programming, including workshops and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program, specifically as a rising or current junior or senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental), or Business Administration.
- At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting, such as extracurricular activities, military service, or prior work.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Previous Sherwin-Williams internship or co-op experience is a plus.
