About the role#
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Internship is a summer assignment based in Covington, Georgia. You will work directly with the site EHS Manager to support daily operations and specific safety projects. This role is designed to help you gain experience while assisting the team in meeting site goals.
What you'll do#
- Implement safety programs at the site.
- Assist with employee training sessions.
- Coordinate safety and occupational health projects.
- Promote safe work practices across the organization.
- Analyze accident and incident records.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and site events.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Safety Manager.
- Participate in early career development programming, including workshops and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university, specifically as a rising or current junior or senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting, such as extracurricular activities, military service, or past work.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
- Previous Sherwin-Williams internship or co-op experience is a plus.
