About the role#
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Internship is a summer-long assignment based in Holland, Michigan. You will work directly with the site EHS Manager to support daily operations and specific safety initiatives. This role is designed to provide exposure to manufacturing safety standards while you assist the team in achieving site goals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the implementation of site-specific safety programs.
- Conduct employee training and promote safe work practices across the organization.
- Coordinate occupational health and safety projects.
- Analyze accident and incident records to identify trends.
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives and site events to support workplace culture.
- Complete special projects as directed by the Safety Manager.
- Engage in early career development programming, including workshops and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university at the time of the program.
- Status as a rising or current junior or senior.
- At least one year of work experience using Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or Business.
- Experience working in team-oriented settings.
- Previous experience with Sherwin-Williams internships or co-ops is a plus.
