About the role#
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Internship is a summer assignment based in Chicago. You will work with the site EHS Manager to support daily operations and specific projects. This role involves collaborating with team members to reach safety goals and participating in early career development programs.
What you'll do#
- Assist the EHS Manager with daily tasks and special projects.
- Help implement safety programs at the site.
- Conduct employee training.
- Coordinate occupational health and safety projects.
- Promote safe work practices across the organization.
- Analyze records related to accidents and incidents.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and site events.
- Participate in workshops, info sessions, and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university.
- At least 18 years of age.
- One year of experience using Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Current standing as a college junior or senior is preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or Business.
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous internship or co-op experience at Sherwin-Williams is a plus.
