About the role#
The Engineering Co-op Program is a 15-week initiative hosted by the Engineering Department. You will work directly with site Engineering Managers to support daily operations and specific department goals. This is a full-time, paid position based in Chicago, Illinois, beginning in May 2027. You will conclude your rotation by delivering a final presentation to site, program, and division leadership.
What you'll do#
- Assist Engineering Managers with day-to-day tasks and special projects.
- Perform equipment analysis and support new installations or facility revisions.
- Develop drawings and specifications for equipment layout.
- Investigate new plant engineering processes and techniques.
- Execute special projects as identified by the Engineering Team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university with sophomore standing or higher in an Engineering degree program.
- Pursuit of a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office products.
- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teams.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations function, or completion of a Sherwin-Williams Engineering Development Program.
- Previous internship or Co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division.
- Experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
