About the role#
The Engineering Co-op Program is a 15-week opportunity within the Engineering Department. This role begins in May 2027 and is based in our Chicago, Illinois office. You will work directly with the site Engineering Manager to support daily operations and departmental goals. At the end of your rotation, you will deliver a final presentation to site, program, and division leadership.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day engineering tasks and special projects.
- Perform equipment analysis.
- Support new installations and facility revisions.
- Develop drawings and specifications for equipment layout.
- Investigate new plant engineering processes and techniques.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university with sophomore standing or higher.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- At least 18 years of age.
- One year of experience using Microsoft Office products.
- One year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teams.
- One year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations function, or completion of a Sherwin-Williams Engineering Development Program.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting.
- Previous internship or Co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division is preferred.
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
