About the role#
This internship offers exposure to the manufacturing environment at our corporate facility in Spring Grove. You will join a multi-discipline team to work on projects that support the continuous improvement and expansion of our production equipment. This is a paid, full-time summer position for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist the facilities engineering team with safety and process improvements.
- Research and develop new processes and equipment.
- Create mechanical layouts for systems and components using SolidWorks part and assembly modeling.
- Design or select mechanical components such as gearing, shafting, bearings, linkages, frames, cylinders, tools, and jigs.
- Perform computational fluid dynamics analysis to aid in the design of furnaces and quench tanks.
- Reverse engineer existing components by analyzing failure modes, taking measurements, and creating blueprints.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Rising Junior status or higher at the start of the internship.
- Experience with SolidWorks and 2D CAD software.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a drug test.
