    About the role#

    Lake Country Co-op is seeking a full-time Project Sales Representative to join our Home and Building Centre in Big River, Saskatchewan. This role focuses on utilizing industry knowledge and sales estimating skills to drive project sales and provide professional service to our members and customers.

    What you'll do#

    • Model Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles with a customer-focused approach.
    • Deliver exceptional customer experiences across all interactions.
    • Collaborate with Home Centre Team Leaders to implement pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies.
    • Coordinate project fulfillment to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.
    • Support daily retail operations, including inventory control, merchandising, and store readiness.
    • Achieve financial targets related to sales, margins, and inventory management.
    • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and retail customers to generate repeat business.
    • Conduct project consultations, prepare accurate quotes, and perform material takeoffs using estimating software.
    • Manage the project lifecycle, including progress tracking and follow-up.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building materials, industry trends, and building codes.

    What you'll need#

    • 5+ years of proven sales experience in home improvement, construction, or retail, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
    • Strong construction knowledge, including the ability to interpret building plans, material takeoffs, and specifications.
    • Proficiency in project estimating and quoting using industry systems.
    • Ability to consult with contractors and customers to identify needs and provide effective solutions.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple timelines.
    • Effective communication skills for in-person, phone, and digital interactions.
    • Ability to perform physical requirements of a home centre environment.
    • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
    • Educational background in Business Administration, Marketing, or Civil Engineering is preferred.
