About the role#
The Sales & Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our Guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how our retail business operates and develop the skills required for management. This role involves a mix of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, providing a comprehensive look at store leadership.
What you'll do#
- Greet Guests with a friendly attitude and answer questions about our store and merchandise.
- Recommend products, help locate items, and suggest additional pieces to complete a look.
- Achieve personal sales goals and maintain knowledge of current promotions and policies.
- Perform operational duties including cashiering, register procedures, and routine cleaning.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Complete required sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation and Beginning Leadership.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and develop recruiting and merchandising skills.
- Monitor the store for security risks and follow all Loss Prevention guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- A desire for a long-term commitment with the company.
- The ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
