About the role#
The Orchards Food Store in Edmonton is hiring a part-time Meat Clerk. This role focuses on maintaining department standards and providing service to our members. Open availability is an asset for this position.
What you'll do#
- Provide prompt, friendly service to customers in the Meat Department.
- Wrap, label, and package prepared meats.
- Keep product displays rotated, fresh, and full.
- Face, fill, and organize product items.
- Disassemble and assemble department machines for thorough cleaning.
- Wash cooler and prep room floors daily.
- Clean and sanitize cutting blocks.
- Monitor case temperatures and maintain equipment.
What you'll need#
- Previous retail experience, ideally in a meat department.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- An enthusiastic approach to your work.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently.
- Comfort working with all types of meat and meat products.
- Ability to be efficient and accurate in a busy environment.
