Meat Clerk

About the role#

We are seeking a part-time Meat Clerk to join the team at our Orchards Food Store. This role involves providing service to customers and maintaining the daily operations of the Meat Department. Open availability is considered an asset.

What you'll do#

• Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service to customers.
• Wrap, label, and package prepared meats.
• Ensure proper product rotation to keep displays fresh and full.
• Face, fill, and organize product items.
• Disassemble and assemble department machinery for thorough cleaning.
• Wash cooler and prep room floors daily.
• Clean and sanitize cutting blocks and monitor case temperatures.

What you'll need#

• Previous retail experience, particularly in a meat department, is an asset.
• Exceptional interpersonal and strong verbal communication skills.
• An enthusiastic, honest, and results-oriented approach to work.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a busy environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently.
• Comfort working with all types of meat and meat products.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
