About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within our Nuclear Power Group during the summer of 2027. You will join a project team and assist senior engineers with the execution of project work. This role involves contributing to the design of new systems or the modification and upgrade of existing power plant and industrial facility components.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Work on tasks related to project reporting, including tracking and evaluating project activities and progress.
- Apply your academic background in mechanical engineering to support team objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Science program in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, General, or Systems Engineering.
- A strong academic background in mechanical systems analysis, specifically thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or heat transfer.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- An understanding of the practical application of mechanical engineering principles is preferred.
- Enrollment in an ABET-accredited engineering program is preferred.

- This position is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship.
