About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern in the Nuclear Power Group, you will support projects related to nuclear power generation. You will work alongside experienced engineers to modernize critical electrical systems for existing plants, small modular reactors, and advanced reactor facilities. This role involves hands-on learning, technical training, and collaboration across engineering disciplines to deliver safe and reliable solutions.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing engineering calculations and design tasks for large nuclear power generating stations.
- Perform power systems analysis and modeling using industry-standard software tools like ETAP.
- Assist with the design, selection, and integration of major electrical power equipment such as switchgear, motor control centers, and transformers.
- Collaborate with designers and drafters to translate engineering concepts into detailed drawings.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary mock engineering project based on real-world examples to solve design challenges.
- Use modern tools and automation to improve workflows and support project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering.
- A strong academic background and relevant coursework.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
