About the role#
Samtec is hiring a Signal Integrity Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. This role provides exposure to high speed interconnect design through project work and collaboration with senior engineers. You will learn core signal integrity design practices and contribute to ongoing technical initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Perform 3D Electromagnetic modeling.
- Conduct high speed interconnect analysis for printed circuit boards, packages, and connectors.
- Measure interconnects using a Vector Network Analyzer and Time Domain Reflectometry.
- Use scripting to assist in post-process data analysis.
- Learn and apply interconnect analysis methods used in industry standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Coursework in Electromagnetics, Microwave Engineering, and Digital Signal Processing.
- Knowledge of Wave Propagation, Transmission Line Theory, and Scattering Parameters.
- Familiarity with modeling tools like MATLAB, ANSYS HFSS, or Key Sight ADS.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
