About the role#
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario. This full-time, 8 to 12 month position focuses on process optimization and production support for our power solution products. You will work alongside production, maintenance, and contractor teams to improve workflows and troubleshoot daily manufacturing challenges. We provide mentorship to help you grow your technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams to improve manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Support production operations by troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve workflows.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures, including conducting root cause analysis.
- Create documentation to support equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain data security and confidentiality for all sensitive project information.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least your freshman year of college or university.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Enrolled in a degree-seeking program for at least one semester after the co-op concludes.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Previous co-op or internship experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, CAD software, process simulation tools, industrial control systems, and programmable logic controllers.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Cambridge, ON. You must be located within 50 miles of the office.
- The work modality is hybrid, with in-office requirements on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
- This position is full-time and does not offer relocation assistance.
- Compensation ranges from $20 to $32 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
