About the role#
This Reliability Engineering Co-Op position is part of a program designed to build a pipeline for future leadership talent. You will work with the Reliability Engineering team to shift the maintenance culture toward a proactive, reliability-centered model.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement processes to establish a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) culture.
- Support work execution management, including MRO spares, PM optimization, Bill of Materials, and CMMS readiness.
- Introduce new tools and methods to help the maintenance group focus on reliability.
- Assist in building maintenance optimization reviews for asset criticality.
- Establish maintenance activities that detect early signs of functional failures, such as vibration analysis or IR thermography.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as an undergraduate student completing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Previous co-op, internship, or work experience is preferred.
- Proven leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, volunteer work, or other campus programs.
- A track record of influencing others, leading initiatives, and driving results.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex problems.
- Resilience and perseverance when facing setbacks.
- Strong learning agility and an innovative mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
Location & details#
- Location: Whitby, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on academic year.
- Geographic mobility and flexibility are required for this role.
