About the role#
Robinhood Derivatives is a newly formed entity focused on futures, event contracts, and options on futures. As a Futures & Prediction Market Operations Intern, you will support the daily operations of this business. You will help with the initial setup of operational processes, tools, documentation, and workflows while working alongside internal teams and external partners to maintain efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily duties to keep futures and prediction markets running, including clearing and settlement of trades and event contracts.
- Analyze trade and position reconciliations and resolve trading issues.
- Review regulatory and operational reports to ensure compliance.
- Work with third party clearing firms, exchanges, and vendors.
- Collaborate with internal teams including CX, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Financial Crimes, Finance, and Customer Trust and Safety.
- Assist with audit inquiries and support Futures Risk with analytical functions.
- Streamline operational and risk workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time, degree-seeking program in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Expected graduation in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Curiosity regarding the futures market, derivatives, and back office clearing.
- Demonstrated history of operational excellence and problem solving.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple daily tasks and projects with varying deadlines.

- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Modality: Hybrid (in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
