About the role#
As an M&A Consulting Intern, you will join our team for a 10-week summer program in 2027. You will work alongside our consultants to support the merger and acquisition lifecycle, from pre-close diligence to post-close technology and data execution. This role offers exposure to projects for private equity firms, investment banks, and corporate clients.
What you'll do#
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and conference calls.
- Conduct research on potential and current clients, industry trends, and competitors.
- Analyze client business models and technology needs.
- Summarize findings in written reports and presentations.
- Use AI and advanced tools to organize data and strategic recommendations.
- Assist in assessing client technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and financial metrics.
- Support the development of data-driven recommendations.
- Research emerging technologies and digital platforms.
- Assist with system integration assessments or basic configuration tasks.
- Collaborate with internal consulting teams and technology experts.
What you'll need#
- Rising Senior status in a Bachelor’s program for Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter and solve problems analytically.
- Basic understanding of technology concepts, including databases, software development, and cloud computing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to visual design.
- Ability to think critically and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to changing business environments.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Modality: Hybrid (minimum of 3 days in office per week).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
- Eligibility: Must live in the Chicago area during the summer of 2027. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
