About the role#
As a Data & Analytics Consultant Intern, you will join our team for a 10-week summer program. You will work alongside experienced consultants on real client projects, gaining hands-on exposure to our AI-native delivery methodology and modern data platform practices. Beyond your daily tasks, you will collaborate with your intern cohort on a group project and participate in sessions covering consulting, data, and AI.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support client projects.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders by asking questions, synthesizing feedback, and presenting findings.
- Identify, gather, and prepare data using structured, reproducible methods.
- Apply foundational analytical and statistical techniques to uncover trends and patterns.
- Build clear data visualizations and reports.
- Document business and functional requirements and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Create process maps, workflow diagrams, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in testing activities by assisting with test scenarios and validating results.
- Use AI copilots and prompting techniques to accelerate research, documentation, and analysis.
- Use project and collaboration tools to manage workflows and communicate status, risks, and insights.
What you'll need#
- Rising Senior enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics, preferably graduating in Spring 2028.
- Ability to write basic SQL queries and understand relational database concepts.
- Foundational knowledge of data structures, statistical concepts, and data modeling basics.
- Introductory experience with Python or R.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau and experience with spreadsheets.
- Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts and version control systems such as Git or GitHub.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Deep intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools and domains.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in deadline-driven environments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- You must live in the Chicago, Illinois area during the summer of 2027.
- The role is hybrid, with an expectation of at least 3 days in the office per week.
