About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will join our M&A team to support the full transaction lifecycle, from pre-close diligence to post-close technology and data execution. You will work alongside senior-led teams helping private equity firms, investment banks, and corporate clients navigate complex business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and conference calls to track action items and notes.
- Conduct research on current and potential clients, including industry trends and competitive landscapes.
- Analyze client business models and technology needs to identify potential solutions.
- Summarize findings and research into written reports and presentations.
- Use AI and other tools to organize data into clear dashboards, graphs, and exhibits.
- Assist in assessing client technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and financial metrics.
- Support the development of data-driven recommendations through quantitative and qualitative assessments.
- Research emerging technologies and digital platforms.
- Assist with basic system integration assessments or configuration tasks.
- Collaborate with internal consulting teams and technology experts on ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Rising Senior status in a Bachelor’s degree program, such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A basic understanding of technology concepts like cloud computing, databases, and software development principles.
- Ability to work as a self-starter in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to visual design and detail.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and maintain professionalism regarding confidential client information.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Modality: Hybrid (minimum 3 days in office per week).
- Eligibility: Must live in the Chicago area during the summer of 2027 and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
