    About the role#

    As a Financial Analyst Intern on the FP&A team, you will support the planning, forecasting, and reporting processes that guide company decisions. You will work directly with senior business leaders to quantify strategic shifts and build deliverables for the board, investors, and lenders. This role is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the Summer 2027 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Partner with functional leaders to understand their priorities and help pressure-test strategic shifts.
    • Drive the annual operating plan and long-range plan from start to finish.
    • Automate data ingestion, reporting, and reconciliation using AI tools.
    • Develop analyses, scorecards, and recommendations for the executive team.
    • Assemble board packages, business reviews, and diligence materials.
    • Define and track KPIs while maintaining dashboards to provide business intelligence.
    • Own and extend the financial model by refining assumptions and scenario layers.
    • Support operating expense planning and analysis for cross-functional teams.
    • Produce monthly operating scorecards and variance packages while reconciling actuals.

    What you'll need#

    • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
    • A strong academic record.
    • Previous internship experience in an analytically demanding environment.
    • Strong Excel or Google Sheets financial modeling skills and an affinity for numbers.
    • Comfort and excitement regarding the use of modern AI tools to automate tasks.
    • A versatile generalist approach with a bias for action.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • An owner mentality and high standards of integrity.
    • Familiarity with US GAAP and experience in B2B SaaS, software, or hardware are considered a plus.

    • Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
    • Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position requiring 5 days a week in the office.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
