About the role#
As a Relationship Manager Intern in Commercial Financial Services, you will work in a face-to-face client role within our Commercial Banking platform. This program lasts approximately 9 months and is based in a Commercial Centre. You will be assigned a mentor to coach you through your training, which includes on-the-job experience, self-study, and classroom sessions. This role prepares you to provide service to commercial clients regarding accounts, operating services, credit, lending, and deposits.
What you'll do#
- Provide tailored financial advice and solutions to your clients.
- Use sales planning, prospecting, and pre-call tools to manage your workflow.
- Apply a continuous-improvement approach to enhance the client experience.
- Create needs-based sales strategies to grow revenue, deepen client relationships, and maintain high client loyalty.
What you'll need#
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in commerce, business administration, finance, or economics.
- Demonstrated success in business development, including prospecting and cold calling.
- Experience with financial statement review and computer modeling.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools, social media, and mobile banking applications.
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial lending is preferred.
