About the role#
This is a 9-month trainee program within the RBC Commercial Banking platform. You will work in a commercial centre, supported by a mentor who provides coaching throughout your training. The role involves a mix of on-the-job training, self-study, and classroom sessions to prepare you for managing commercial business client relationships.
What you'll do#
- Provide financial advice and solutions tailored to the needs of your clients.
- Use sales planning, prospecting, and pre-call tools to manage your workflow.
- Focus on improving the client experience.
- Develop sales strategies to grow revenue and build client loyalty.
What you'll need#
- A post-secondary degree or diploma, ideally in finance, business administration, or economics.
- Experience with financial statement review, computer modeling, and analysis.
- Demonstrated success in business development, including prospecting and cold calling.
- Familiarity with digital banking, social media, and web-based communication tools.
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial lending is preferred.
