About the role#
As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as an ambassador for the bank by helping clients with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. This role requires a focus on client-centered sales and problem-solving to ensure every interaction adds value. You will work within a team to help clients reach their financial goals.
What you'll do#
- Engage with clients directly in the branch and the community to uncover their banking needs.
- Educate clients on banking technology and demonstrate how to use digital tools.
- Assist clients with financial transactions and respond to their inquiries.
- Listen to clients to understand their individual financial goals.
- Take ownership of resolving and preventing banking problems.
- Build relationships with internal partners to identify business opportunities and referrals.
What you'll need#
- Mutual Funds accreditation, such as the Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
- A history of success in a hands-on, target-driven sales environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on putting clients first.
- Digital literacy across various devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Availability to work all open business hours.
- Preferred majors include Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Marketing.
