About the role#

The Relationship Manager Commercial Markets Intern position is a full-time, paid opportunity for the Summer 2027 term. This role focuses on supporting commercial banking operations, client relationship management, and business development strategies.

What you'll do#

• Prospect and generate leads for new and existing clients using established business development experience.
• Manage portfolios and mitigate risk by reviewing financial statements, identifying trends, and monitoring credit structures.
• Deliver superior business and financial advice to provide an exceptional client experience.
• Identify referral opportunities and coordinate with internal teams to execute client contact strategies.
• Promote digital enablement by educating clients on the use of mobile applications and digital banking tools.

What you'll need#

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial banking.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong credit skills, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit structuring.
• Specialized industry expertise in fields such as real estate, healthcare, or agriculture.
• Proficiency with digital communication tools, social media, and mobile banking applications.
• Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Bilingualism in French and English is considered a strong asset.

Location & details#

• This position is based on-site in Grand Falls and Edmundston, New Brunswick.
• The role is full-time with a 37.5-hour work week.
