About the role#
The Relationship Manager Commercial Markets Intern position is a full-time, paid opportunity for the Summer 2027 term. This role focuses on supporting commercial banking operations and client relationship management within the Grand Falls and Edmundston regions.
What you'll do#
- Apply past business development experience to prospect and generate leads for new and existing clients.
- Manage portfolios and mitigate risk by reviewing financial statements, identifying trends, and assessing credit restructuring needs.
- Provide an exceptional client experience by delivering superior business and financial advice.
- Identify referral opportunities and coordinate with internal teams to execute client contact strategies.
- Champion digital enablement by educating clients on the use of mobile applications and digital banking tools.
What you'll need#
- Minimum 3-5 years of commercial banking experience.
- A proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
- Strong credit skills, including risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit structuring.
- Experience with emerging communication technologies, including web-based meetings and digital banking platforms.
- Academic background in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Specialized industry expertise in fields such as real estate, healthcare, or agriculture is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with bilingualism in French and English viewed as a strong asset.
