About the role#
As a member of the Finance team, you will support general accounting and finance reporting functions. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help the bank make informed business decisions, ensure reporting accuracy, and maintain the integrity of financial processes. This is a 4-month internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries and required transactions using manual and system-generated data.
- Perform account reconciliations and various accounting functions, such as cost accounting or fixed asset accounting.
- Produce financial, regulatory, or management reports, including data gathering, cleansing, and validation.
- Support key stakeholders by addressing their reporting needs and requirements.
- Identify operational problems, suggest process improvements, and escalate issues when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business, or Commerce, with the intent to return to school after the work term.
- Proficiency in Excel and various data analysis tools.
- Strong finance acumen and a clear understanding of business processes.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.
- Experience with productivity tools and end-user software.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $45,700 to $74,400 CAD.
