About the role#
As a Financial Advisor Intern, you will attract, nurture, and grow relationships with high-value personal and small business clients. You will provide proactive, professional advice and collaborate with partners to help clients reach their goals during key life events. This role focuses on building trust and delivering client-centric solutions for complex credit and investment needs.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate empathy and kindness to understand client circumstances and concerns.
- Communicate effectively to uncover needs and resolve concerns at the first point of contact.
- Provide advice on credit and investments to ensure solutions match client financial circumstances.
- Educate clients on digital channels to help them self-serve.
- Connect with clients through virtual and face-to-face meetings.
- Implement relationship-building strategies to acquire and retain clients in the local community.
- Work with experts in financial planning, retirement, mortgages, and business banking.
What you'll need#
- Valid Mutual Funds accreditation, such as Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
- Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation.
- 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, specifically handling credit and investments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Digital literacy across devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Ability to speak Cantonese is considered an asset.
- Active involvement in developing a network within the local community.
