About the role#
As a Financial Advisor Intern, you will manage relationships with personal and small business clients. You will provide advice on credit and investment needs while helping clients reach their financial goals. This role involves working with financial planning experts to deliver customized strategies.
What you'll do#
- Talk to clients to understand their financial needs and goals.
- Provide professional advice on credit and investment products.
- Work with experts in retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking to support clients.
- Use technology to improve the client experience and drive sales.
- Execute strategies to build relationships and grow the client base in the local community.
- Teach clients how to use digital banking tools, including mobile and online platforms.
What you'll need#
- Valid Mutual Funds accreditation, such as the Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course.
- Completed Certificate in Financial Services Advice through the CSI.
- 2-3 years of sales experience in the financial services industry.
- Ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Digital literacy across various devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Preferred background in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
