About the role#
As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as a point of contact for clients to help with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. You will work in a branch setting to provide advice, handle financial transactions, and help clients navigate their banking goals. This role focuses on building relationships and ensuring clients feel supported during their interactions.
What you'll do#
- Engage with clients to identify their banking needs and provide helpful advice.
- Teach clients how to use banking technology and digital tools.
- Process financial transactions and respond to client requests.
- Take ownership of resolving and preventing banking problems for clients.
- Work with internal partners to identify business and referral opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course).
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort using digital devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- A goal-oriented mindset and a focus on client service.
- Current enrollment in a program related to Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
