About the role#
As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as an ambassador for the bank, focusing on everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. This role requires a client-focused approach to maximize interactions and provide value during important financial moments. You will work on-site, collaborating with partners to help clients reach their goals.
What you'll do#
- Engage with clients throughout the branch and the community to identify banking needs and sales opportunities.
- Educate clients on financial products and demonstrate how to use digital banking tools.
- Handle client-initiated contact, including processing financial transactions.
- Take ownership of resolving and preventing banking issues for clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to manage business referrals.
What you'll need#
- Mutual Funds accreditation, such as Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
- A history of success in a hands-on, target-driven sales environment.
- Demonstrated passion for prioritizing client needs.
- Digital literacy across various devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Strong personal ethics and the ability to build professional relationships.
- Availability to work all open business hours.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Economics.
