About the role#
This is an 8-month co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the Sales Technology & Analytics team within RBC Global Asset Management. The team supports the Advisor Channel Sales group, which works with investment advisors across Canada to promote mutual fund solutions. You will work on-site in Toronto on a full-time basis.
What you'll do#
- Sort daily sales alerts to identify transactions and match them with the correct investment advisor.
- Conduct advisor prospecting and track the progress of these efforts through regular reporting.
- Run and format standard and ad hoc reports from the CRM system for the Relationship Liaison and Management teams.
- Lead data hygiene initiatives to ensure high-quality information within the CRM.
- Participate in planning and reporting for sales events and conferences.
- Create new tools or reporting processes to improve team efficiency.
- Analyze the success of various sales initiatives using Excel.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Finance, Data Science, Business Administration, or Mathematics.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to use Excel for pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs, and macros.
- Knowledge of SQL and VBA.
- Basic understanding of the Canadian Securities Industry and mutual fund structures.
- Ability to solve problems quickly while interpreting data.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
