About the role#
As a Systems Engineering Test Equipment Intern, you will work on the development and production of Raytheon Radar Systems. This is a full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027 based in El Segundo, California. You will gain experience in Systems Engineering V-model processes and Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V).
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for this process.
What you'll do#
- Create requirements for test equipment.
- Design Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) based test equipment.
- Use CAD tools like Creo to create schematics.
- Perform integration and testing of special test equipment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Active enrollment through the end of the internship session.
- Experience with FPGA firmware development (such as Xilinx or Altera).
- Experience with CAD software like Creo or Orcad is preferred.
- Exposure to AI is considered an asset.
