About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is hiring a Systems Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position is based in Tucson, Arizona. You will join the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities organization to support projects across the systems lifecycle. This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. government Secret security clearance, which necessitates U.S. citizenship.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and verification documentation for simulated and real-world environments.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems.
- Evaluate test results to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Create and modify documentation to support design reviews and test events.
- Execute platform integration, flight tests, qualification, and design verification.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through data analysis and debugging.
- Conduct statistical and numerical analysis on test data to verify system performance.
- Travel as needed to support mission execution at test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in a STEM field, with at least 30 credit hours completed by the start of the internship.
- Academic or internship experience involving hands-on testing of electronic equipment.
- Practical experience troubleshooting technical issues with electronics, whether through coursework, research, projects, or personal hobbies.
- Ability to maintain enrollment through the completion of the internship.
