About the role#
This is a full-time internship for the Winter 2027 term, running from January 5th to April 23rd. You will work within the Performance Department under the supervision of a senior team member. The role focuses on analyzing engine data from test benches or in-service units using various computer tools. You will receive mentorship from colleagues while developing your technical skills in thermodynamics, aerodynamics, and programming.
What you'll do#
- Modify data reduction tools and underlying assumptions.
- Develop Python tools to review test data and ensure validity.
- Compare engine data against analytical predictions using thermodynamic models.
- Present your findings and publish them in internal memos.
- Collaborate with team members on predictive analysis and engine test support.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the internship.
- Completion of at least the 3rd year of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Excellent knowledge of thermodynamics and aerodynamics.
- Functional knowledge of English to read technical documentation and communicate with international colleagues.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Intermediate to advanced programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, Matlab, Fortran, or VBA are considered an asset.
Location & details#
- The position is based on-site at our Longueuil facility in Quebec, Canada.
- Work is performed Monday through Friday with flexible hours.
- This is a paid internship.
- The selected candidate must pass a background check and obtain all necessary authorizations for handling controlled goods.
