About the role#
As a member of the Transmission Gear Team, you will support research and continuous improvement projects. You will work under the guidance of experienced analysts to develop a deep understanding of transmission engineering. This role requires the ability to work with a degree of autonomy while contributing to various technical initiatives, including research on gear scuffing and micro pitting.
What you'll do#
- Support research projects focused on gear scuffing and micro pitting.
- Communicate with Customer Support and Manufacturing teams to gather field data and inspection results.
- Collect data from maintenance and repair shops.
- Update process documents, databases, and internal methodologies.
- Validate new analysis methods.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the internship.
- Pursuing a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with at least 2 years of study completed.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English, as you will read technical instructions and communicate with international colleagues.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Location & details#
- Location: Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
- This is a paid internship.
