About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern to focus on test equipment for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tucson, Arizona. You will work on mechanical design projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support hardware development and testing.
What you'll do#
- Design structures, assemblies, and mechanisms.
- Perform detailed design and drafting work following ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Support the procurement and testing of development hardware.
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate across different teams to mature designs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- You must be entering at least your Sophomore year by the start of Summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Experience with Creo modeling and drafting.
- Familiarity with Windchill and configuration management.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
