About the role#
This internship is part of the Airframe & Systems Design group within Flight Operations. The team manages engineering and design for the company’s two Boeing 747 flight test beds. You will work in an experimental aerospace environment where you can develop your technical skills under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
What you'll do#
- Produce CAD designs for structures and systems related to engine test installations and aircraft modifications.
- Design experimental aircraft systems, structures, and assemblies, including machined parts, sheet metal, and additive manufacturing.
- Generate loads and perform systems model analysis.
- Perform stress analysis for system components or structural modifications using hand calculations or finite element methods (optional).
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering at a Canadian university.
- Must be enrolled in your program throughout the duration of the internship.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Working knowledge of both English and French (spoken and written).
- Ability to obtain necessary clearances for handling controlled goods.
Location & details#
- Location: Longueuil, Quebec (PL-1, R&D).
- Term: January 5 to April 23, 2027.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work Monday to Friday with flexible hours.
