About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work within the Environment team at our Longueuil facility. You will engage with various stakeholders, including EHS advisors, committees, supervisors, and plant employees. We are looking for an autonomous individual who takes ownership of projects and manages a variety of tasks with reliability and adaptability.
What you'll do#
- Provide training to plant employees regarding the segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, as well as water, energy, and air emission management.
- Conduct field inspections to verify compliance with legal and corporate environmental rules.
- Contribute to the preparation and execution of activities organized by the Environment group.
- Participate in water, industrial waste, and greenhouse gas management committees, including project implementation and identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impacts.
- Support the team in tracking environmental incidents and calculating related management costs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian CEGEP or university for the entire duration of the internship.
- Pursuing studies in Environmental Sciences or relevant experience in the field.
- Excellent communication skills in French, both oral and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Location & details#
- Location: 1000 Blvd Marie-Victorin, Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: January 5 to April 23, 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site, 5 days per week.
- Schedule: Generally standard business hours, with occasional requirements to be on-site at 6:15 a.m. to align with plant operations.
