About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Co-Op position based on-site in Ogden, Utah. You will work with the HSE team to manage risk and maintain safety standards in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role requires a commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively with various teams to ensure compliance.
What you'll do#
- Help develop and implement HSE processes to control risk.
- Perform job safety analyses, machine guarding assessments, and ergonomic evaluations.
- Lead training sessions on topics like HazCom, PPE, electrical safety, and emergency evacuation.
- Investigate incidents and prepare reports on hazard waste, air emissions, and storm water.
- Conduct industrial hygiene assessments.
- Verify that subcontractors follow site safety requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program, preferably in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Public Health.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Zero to three years of experience in a manufacturing HSE role.
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout and Machine Guarding programs.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organization skills.
