About the role#
This is an Alternance Travail-Études (ATE) internship opportunity for an Electrical Aircraft Assembler within the A220 commercial aircraft program. This position is open to students from Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering backgrounds who are motivated to develop skills in the aerospace sector. This is a full-time, paid role based on-site.
What you'll do#
- Read, interpret, and analyze electrical and mechanical plans and diagrams from assembly books.
- Manufacture electrical harnesses according to technical drawings, diagrams, and procedures.
- Route, crimp, install, and secure wires, cables, harnesses, and equipment.
- Test the continuity and conductivity of the final assembly.
- Perform quality control on manufactured sub-assemblies and electrical harnesses.
- Ensure all work complies with production standards and rates.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A collegial diploma (DEC) or professional diploma (DEP) is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated autonomy and initiative.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work in confined spaces on a regular basis.
- Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet.
- Ability to adopt and maintain various physical positions as required by the tasks.
