About the role#
Airbus is hiring Engineering Interns for the Fall 2026 semester to support the launch and industrialization of a new production line. This role is based at the U.S. Manufacturing facility in Mobile, Alabama. You will work alongside experienced industrial engineers to troubleshoot technical issues and implement best practices for efficient operations. This is a full-time, on-site internship for students pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Develop rework instructions to address non-conformities that deviate from design dossiers.
- Coordinate with MAP and Design Office engineers to support repairs.
- Lead and support projects focused on enhancing production productivity and process improvements.
- Maintain and update processes from a technical standpoint to ensure operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices and troubleshoot technical issues on the production floor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, with at least Sophomore standing.
- A basic understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and design dossiers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate problems, solutions, and feedback clearly.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.

- Physical requirements include the ability to lift or carry up to 30 lbs and navigate production areas while wearing required personal protective equipment.
