About the role#
The Product Development group at Sulzer designs, validates, and documents new products and upgrades to existing ranges. As a Mechanical Design Intern, you will work on project support tasks assigned by engineers. This position is full-time during the summer and transitions to part-time during the school year.
What you'll do#
- Provide hands-on support for component testing and data collection.
- Assist with drafting using the NX 3D/2D system.
- Release drawings and documents through SAP and Teamcenter ERP systems.
- Support engineering projects as assigned.
- Participate in company-wide ESG, EHS, and Quality Management efforts.
- Follow all department policies and safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your freshman year in a BSc Mechanical Engineering program.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- An interest in manufacturing and rotating machinery is helpful.
