About the role#
Masaba, Inc. offers a summer internship for mechanical engineering students at our Vermillion, South Dakota facility. This role provides practical experience in a professional manufacturing environment. You will work on projects ranging from new equipment design to modifying existing designs. You will also coordinate with our management team across sales, operations, marketing, purchasing, and production.
What you'll do#
- Complete project-focused assignments that provide hands-on experience.
- Assist with the design of new projects from the ground up.
- Modify previous designs for aggregate processing and conveyor equipment.
- Collaborate with various internal departments to support business operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university as a Mechanical Engineering major with at least Junior status.
- A minimum 2.7 GPA.
- Working knowledge of Auto CAD, Auto CAD Lt., or Inventor software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-motivated approach and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Must be a United States citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa.
