    About the role#

    Raytheon is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern for the Air Launched Effectors Department. You will join a multi-disciplined team to support the design, integration, and production of subsystems. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Tucson, Arizona.

    What you'll do#

    • Support concept development, detailed design, analysis, and testing.
    • Assist with transition to production efforts, including factory line support and product improvement.
    • Resolve technical issues through root cause and corrective action processes.
    • Collaborate with Integrated Product Team Leads and Program Managers to manage risks, schedules, and budgets.
    • Ensure Technical Data Package quality according to ASME Y14.5 standards.
    • Perform 3D parametric modeling and prepare technical justification reports.
    • Present findings and technical information to Engineering Review Boards.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related STEM major.
    • Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable U.S. government security clearance.
    • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
    • Experience with Creo modeling and drafting.
    • Familiarity with Windchill and configuration management.
