About the role#
Join our Operability group for a Winter 2027 internship. You will gain hands-on experience with gas turbine engine operability, including starting, acceleration, deceleration, and transient simulation. You will also work with electronic and hydromechanical control systems while supporting engine interfaces for aircraft and helicopters.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the definition of engine sub-systems, including control systems.
- Generate transient simulations for aircraft or helicopter maneuvers.
- Create and execute test procedures on engine test benches or customer aircraft.
- Analyze test results, compare them against simulation models, and provide recommendations or corrective actions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university pursuing a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Capacity to manage multiple analytical tasks concurrently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of gas turbines, aerodynamic principles, MATLAB/Simulink, MS Excel (VBA macros), or Enovia V6/PLM is considered an asset.

- Location: Longueuil, Quebec (Plant 1 R&D).
- Term: January 5 to April 23, 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
- This is a paid internship. Please note that employment is conditional upon a background check and the ability to obtain necessary authorizations for handling controlled goods.
