About the role#
Join our automation team at our aeronautical site in Mirabel. You will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that optimize assembly processes. This role involves taking ownership of continuous improvement projects on our mixed-model assembly line, focusing on quality and Lean Manufacturing principles.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to identify specific automation needs within the factory.
- Participate in the design of automated systems using industrial robots, intelligent sensors, and control systems.
- Ensure the successful integration of new automation solutions into existing manufacturing processes.
- Perform testing, debugging, and optimization of systems to ensure peak performance.
- Draft technical documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the internship period.
- Currently pursuing a degree in automated production engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
- Basic knowledge of programming, such as Ladder or Grafcet.
- Understanding of industrial automation principles, sensors, and actuators.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Working knowledge of both English and French to read technical plans and communicate with international colleagues.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Location & details#
- Location: Mirabel, Quebec.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
- This position requires a criminal background check and the ability to obtain necessary clearances for handling controlled goods.
