About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to the business objectives of the Engineering Planning and Facility Services team. You will support building maintenance operations, participate in decision-making processes, and manage real-world projects. This role involves handling budgets, schedules, and coordination with various stakeholders while receiving professional guidance and support.
What you'll do#
- Assist with infrastructure maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with the planning team to create and assign service requests and develop preventive maintenance plans.
- Develop performance monitoring tools and databases using existing data to support decision-making.
- Train team members on new tools and processes while documenting standard work instructions and procedures.
- Implement strategies to reduce process inefficiencies and quality issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or construction engineering.
- Enrolled in a Canadian university throughout the duration of the internship.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
- Working knowledge of English to understand technical documentation and communicate with international stakeholders.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
