About the role#
The Investments Intern supports the analysis and administrative functions of the Investments Team. You will assist with transaction workflows, financial modeling, and the integration of assets into the company portfolio. This role provides exposure to the transaction lifecycle, from initial acquisition analysis to post-closing warranty tracking.
What you'll do#
- Prepare Investment Proposals for the Board of Directors.
- Support the Senior Investments Analyst with NOI, IRR, and Yield analysis for potential acquisitions and dispositions.
- Administer the Due Diligence Checklist to ensure all transaction requirements are met.
- Maintain and organize files for ongoing and prospective transactions.
- Track and monitor post-acquisition warranty items for new construction assets.
- Coordinate team meetings, agendas, and minutes for transaction-related calls.
- Assist with administrative closing deliverables and data gathering for research reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or Accounting.
- Up to one year of experience in commercial real estate, finance, or accounting.
- A basic understanding of financial modeling.
- Strong financial analytic, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and the broader MS Office suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to be in the office four days per week (Monday to Thursday).
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
