About the role#
This internship is a summer 2027 opportunity based in Tucson, Arizona. You will work within the Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality organization to help optimize manufacturing systems. This role is full-time and requires you to work on-site in a factory environment.
What you'll do#
- Identify throughput constraints by performing capacity, simulation, and what-if scenario analysis.
- Drive factory improvement projects using analytical tools.
- Coordinate factory capability needs for yield improvements and new technology.
- Participate in projects focused on constraint elimination.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles, including value stream maps, line balancing, and error proofing.
- Support manufacturing objectives related to cost, quality, on-time delivery, and safety.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program for Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with Industrial Engineering processes, tools, and Microsoft Office.
- U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a U.S. government security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
