About the role#
This co-op position is based in the Electric Power Embedded Controls department at our Rockford, Illinois facility. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to support the hardware lifecycle. This role requires U.S. citizenship.
What you'll do#
- Apply fundamental engineering knowledge to assigned embedded controls tasks.
- Engage in the full hardware lifecycle, including requirements engineering, design, analysis, implementation, testing, and project management.
- Draft and publish project documentation for hardware specification, design, and deployment.
- Participate in project reviews, walk-throughs, and team discussions.
- Provide administrative and technical analysis support to engineering staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
- Active student status throughout the duration of the co-op session.
- Practical experience with electronics and electrical components.
- Experience working in a lab environment using electronic test equipment.
- Proficiency with Excel and circuit simulation software.
- Relevant experience gained through coursework, research, projects, or prior work.
